Information for your course … May 18th to 20th, 2024

Dear participant … there are only a few weeks left until the course starts. This is a good time to clarify a few final things. Please read the following information carefully! We also recommend printing out this page and bringing it with you to the course! You probably won't have network access on site, so you won't be able to access the data there. Please transfer the remaining amount of your invoice (you had already received the final invoice with your registration) and bring your voucher to the course if you have one. If you have any questions, we are happy to help! We are really looking forward to seeing you - see you soon in the forest.

1 ... Directions

Our meeting point is located at a forest parking lot, halfway between the towns of Seitenhein and Berthelsdorf in Saxony. Here are the coordinates: 50.869977, 13.840207 (just enter them into Google).

Coming from Dresden on the A17, take exit 7 towards Liebstadt. Drive through Nenntmannsdorf until you reach a forest section just after the town ends, where you'll come to a crossroad with the S176 (right = towards Pirna, left = towards Liebstadt). Turn left and follow the S176 towards Liebstadt. After about 4 to 5 km, a road (the second one) to Seitenhain turns off to the right (if you reach Liebstadt, you've gone too far). Follow this road for about 800 m to Seitenhain and then turn left towards Berthelsdorf. Continue on this road for another 1000 m (out of Seitenhain) until you reach the edge of the forest. Here, on the left side, is a parking lot with a tall telephone mast. If you reach Bertelsdorf, you've gone too far.

Arriving by Public Transport

Arriving by bus and train can be challenging, with bus lines 204 and 205 being the most feasible options. The nearest bus stop to the camp is Seitenhain Ortsmitte.

3 ... Packing List

Please bring the following items for the course:

  • Sleeping pad and sleeping bag

  • Durable, warm clothing

  • Sturdy footwear

  • Poncho or rain gear

  • Work gloves

  • Mosquito repellent

  • Flashlight, pocketknife (fixed or lockable blade)

  • Dishware and utensils

  • Filled water bottles for the first day

  • Paper and pen

Please pack minimally in the spirit of survival! It is not necessary to invest in larger sums of money beforehand. We will sleep in simple (rainproof) bivouacs that we will build ourselves. Please do not bring your own tent – you will receive everything you need from us to stay warm and dry! Food - typical and minimalistic for survival - will be provided.

2 ... Start and End Times

We will meet on the first day promptly at 11:00 AM. If you are going to be late, please let us know. On the last day, we plan to finish at 4:00 PM.

Kolbatzer Mühle Anfahrt

Unser Treffpunkt befindet sich in Brandenburg auf dem Gelände (Parkplatz) der Kolbatzer Mühle. Hier noch die Koordinaten: 53.241520, 13.393417 (einfach bei Google eingeben). Von hier aus sind wir noch etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß unterwegs zum Campspot. Der Kurs beginnt und endet offiziell am Parkplatz, für Dein Fahrzeug und darin ggf. zurückgelassene Dinge bist Du selbst verantwortlich.

 

Lindow - Unterbringung und Verpflegung

Wenn Ihr im Vorfeld die Unterbringung in den Baumwollzelten angemeldet habt, benötigt Ihr lediglich einen Schlafsack oder Bettwäsche. Andernfalls habt Ihr die Möglichkeit, Eure eigene Zelte auf dem Gelände aufzustellen. Der Sanitärbereich beschränkt sich auf Trockentoiletten. Für die Hygiene bietet sich ein ausgewiesener Waschplatz an oder der große See. Um die Verpflegung kümmert Ihr Euch bitte selbst. Sie ist nicht im Preis inbegriffen. Da die zwei Tage sehr voll gepackt sind, bietet sich mittags eine kalte Mahlzeit an. Abends habt Ihr dann ausreichend Zeit zum Kochen. Hierzu gibt es vor Ort eine Outdoorküche mit holzbefeuertem Ofen, die genutzt werden kann. Zusätzlich steht ein Lagerfeuerplatz mit Grillmöglichkeit zur Verfügung. Ansonsten sind Kocher und Co. ebenfalls von Euch mitzubringen.

5 … Warnung / Disclaimer

Wir möchten bereits im Vorfeld darauf aufmerksam machen, dass das Gelände unhygienisch, anspruchsvoll und in manchen Bereichen tatsächlich gefährlich ist! Wir sind darauf angewiesen, dass Du bestimmte Bereiche nicht betrittst (welche genau das sind, stimmen wir vor Ort ab) und unsere Anweisungen eins zu eins umgesetzt werden! Es besteht ein nicht unerhebliches Gefahrenpotenzial, welches verlangt, dass Du mitdenkst, nicht unvernünftig handelst und Vorsicht walten lässt! Es sind dies mentale Skills, die in einer wirklichen Survival Situation gefordert sind.

Die Location ist auf eine einzigartige Weise “echt” und führt uns an Grenzen, um die es bei Mission Fallout letzten Endes ja geht. Bereite Dich innerlich darauf vor, dass das Szenario, der Ort und die äußeren Bedingungen kein Spaziergang werden und nicht mit “nettem” Wildnis Survival zu vergleichen sind. Am Ende geht es bei diesem Szenario um Krisensituationen, Grenzen, die wir aus dem Alltag nicht kennen und ggf. gesellschaftliche Konflikte, die oft unter der Oberfläche unseres zivilisatorischen Alltagsbewusstseins liegen. Du solltest in einer guten und stabilen psychischen Grundverfassung sein, bevor Du Dich auf den Weg machst!
